Coeur d’Alene Resort Cruise Boat Wedding
Being on the water of Lake Coeur d’Alene is the go-to spot for most people during the summer in North Idaho. For Robyn and Rhett, the lake provided an amazing backdrop for their July wedding.
As Robyn prepared for her wedding day with her mother, sister, friends and her soon-to-be mother-in-law, she was able to relax a bit a soak it all in as she anticipated the first look, walking up the aisle to stand next to her best friend, and looking forward to spending time with friends and family at the reception.
With the Coeur d’Alene Resort handling most of the heavy lifting, and providing the crusie boat “The Kootenai” as there floating venue, this couple didn’t have to fuss over much.
“We picked the Coeur d’Alene cruise because it had so much included. We didn’t want to spend hours and hours planning our wedding, we wanted something pretty simple and small. I also knew I wanted an outdoor wedding and the boat made for some amazing views on the water,” Robyn explained about her decision to go for a water excursion for her wedding.
And with the resort handling the details, Robyn and Rhett didn’t have to worry to much about the decorations since Lake Coeur d’Alene and the surrounding vistas would steal her guests attention during the reception.
The one thing that did cause a little wedding-day nervousness for Robyn was leaving someone behind. So a guest check-off list is definitley on Robyn’s must-have list for anyone planning a crusie boat wedding. That and do a quick rehearsal on the boat before the actual ceremony.
Depending on the person, Robyn recommends to keep it simple when it comes to the planning.
“I am so grateful we didn’t spend hours upon hours talking about one day. I’m glad we had a simple, but still beautiful day.”
