That's a questions that comes down to wants, needs, and budget. If you're eloping, one to four hours depending on where we're going (on top of a mountain, a waterfall, city hall, etc.) could work perfectly. For a smaller wedding, three to six hours may work. For big, multi-day events, having 24 hours of coverage may be needed. Every wedding is different.
The important wedding milestones (ceremony, toasts, cake cutting, formal dances) and portraits can be documented with five hours of coverage. My average wedding day includes eight hours of coverage. But every wedding is different.
Some couples want all the preparation and the entire reception through the send off covered. This can be up to 14 hours. Others want the last bit of preparation documented and just the first hour of the open dancing if they aren't planning a big send off at the end of the night. Ultimately it's up to you to decide what's important and what images you'll want to print and share.
After doing this for more than 15 years, I found out that every couple wants something different. Some want an album from their wedding, but not an engagement session. Others want 10 hours of photography, while others may only want six.
This is why I don't offer any pre-built collections. I work with each couple to build their timeline, see if they're wanting an engagement portrait session, show them products they are interested in, and let them decide what they want to include.
If you need my approach, love my style, and we're a fit, I'll go anywhere to document a wedding. I've worked with couples all over the Northwest, in California, Hawaii, Mexico, and New York.
Each wedding I travel to, I offer complimentary rehearsal dinner coverage or an adventure portrait session the day after the wedding.
Contact me and we'll chat about how we go about handling the logistics and creative ways to cover travel costs.
Our first meeting is all about getting to know each other and figuring out what makes your relationship unique. We'll talk about your love story, your wedding vision, and anything else that's on your mind.
After that, we'll stay in touch. Maybe grab a bite to eat, shoot a text, or hop on a quick call whenever you have questions. If timing allows, we can even check out your venue together so you can feel totally confident on your big day.
I'm not just your photographer; I want to be the calming force who's got your back and knows exactly what you want so you can enjoy your wedding day and all the moments that I'm going to capture..
I sure do. A lot of wedding venues now require proof of insurance from vendors. If that's the case, I can provide that within three business days.
I offer a complimentary two-hour engagement portrait session to every couple who hires me as they're wedding photographer. I do this because it's a great way to get to know each other even better, and we get to see how you are in front of the camera, and further hone in on those likes and dislikes.
I offer some really nice matted Baryta prints for small displays and larger wall displays.
The canvas maker I've partnered with has been making canvases the same way since the 1960s. These aren't your Costco canvases. These things are the finest canvases out there — amazingly detailed and so durable you can clean them with Windex.
We custom design albums with your favorite images and they are presented in high-quality product that is significantly better than what's available in the retail market.
Cards are also custom designed for save-the-date cards with engagement portraits, or thank you cards to send out after the wedding. They can have the return and mailing addresses preprinted onto the envelopes.
For weddings three hours or less, you'll receive your scheduling link for your image reveal within 30 days. For longer wedding day coverage, you'll get your scheduling link within 45 days. Once your wedding reveal is done, you'll immediately have the gallery link emailed to you where you can download them immediately.
