You've just said yes to one of the biggest questions you'll ever answer in your life. Congratulations!

Now it's time to let everyone know the good news.

Your ultimate goal is to have an amazing set of images you can share with family and friends that prompts a healthy dose of "oohs and aahs" when they see them.

The best way to get to this point is to have someone who's experienced in collaborating with couples in a way that captures moments, highlights character, and showcases where you and your fiancé enjoy spending time together no matter if it's on your couch, in a coffee shop, strolling through a park, or on top of a mountain.

If you’re looking for images that'll capture your relationship with moments and highlight who you are as a couple, CONTACT ME NOW and we can brainstorm a unique engagement portrait session. You can also schedule a time that works best for you to chat over a quick phone call to answer any questions you may have.

There are a few things most couples need to know when they begin planning their engagement pictures.

  1. When do we need to do them?
  2. What do we want them to look like?

The answer to the first question all depends on what you're planning on doing with them. If you have a lot of out-of-towners attending your wedding, then you want to get your save-the-date cards and wedding website taken care of about nine months to a year before your wedding. If your wedding is a fairly local affair, six months before the wedding date will work in most cases.

The second question takes a little more thought and collaboration. That's what I help with.

Most couples don't think about their engagement portrait session as a date, but that what it should be. It should highlight what you and your fiancé enjoy doing as a couple.

  • If you're outdoorsy and enjoy going on hikes together. Do that.
  • Maybe relaxing at a coffee shop is more your speed. Do that.
  • Does a lazy summer day on the lake sound appealing? Do that.
  • Or maybe you have a fun idea for James Bond themed session. Do that.

Do you see the theme here?

You want your engagement pictures to highlight who you are. You want your friends and family to say, "That's so them" when they see your pictures.

Between the engagement and the reveal, there are a few more questions and a lot of collaboration that goes into the planning portion of the session. Luckily for you, I'm here to help understand what you're wanting your pictures to look like, and put my artistic spin on it so it goes beyond what you had hoped for.

I help guide you through the planning of your engagement session to ensure your portraits are not only amazing, but also relaxed and natural. I believe the collaboration is an important part of the experience and is what allows for candid pictures, and genuine moments.
